Cancer Update!

By Audrey

So much to tell you!  It all boils down to 2 key phrases:  1) “Cancer is a fungus” and 2) “Radiation Hormesis.”  If you do nothing else, google these two phrases.  The rest is gravy.

A second breast thermography and a second set of eyes interpreting it came up with the same result: needs further testing.  Possible MRI/mammogram/sonogram in my future…..  I am also set to take an expensive hormone test from my naturopath.  The thermogram and the naturopath, however, are only indirectly relevant to this particular story.  And it is a good story.

I saw my acupuncturist before heading out for the second opinion thermogram.  In the context of all that has been going on, she noted my toenail fungus and mentioned there is a theory that cancer is a fungus.  A day or two later, I am in the car on a Saturday driving two hours to see a thermographer on her day off.  She was kind enough to open the office just for me.  She normally travels with her equipment in a van to different locations, but I couldn’t wait.  My images needed to be done in a certain window of time due to hormonal fluctuations.  So it turns out this thermographer is also an acupuncturist and I am telling her about everything….the breast lump, of course, but also the metabolic issues, hormonal, digestive issues, the toenail fungus: everything.  I mention the idea of cancer as a fungus.  Yes, she has heard of this, too.  She immediately begins to give the back story of her life.  She used to be an honest-to-goodness nuclear engineer, working with enriched radioactive materials.  She describes herself as the LAST person who would think radiation could be therapeutic.  To make a long story short, she resisted reading a book forced on her by a friend, but eventually relented.  It was called “Because People Are Dying.”  It is about radiation hormesis.  In a nutshell, it says that small amounts of natural radiation are therapeutic and actually activate protective mechanisms in the body.  At the same time, damaged cells are killed so they can’t replicate.  A few normal cells die too, but only a few. It is important to note that healthy cells do not turn into damaged cells and damaged cells are killed.

Do you know how sometimes when you are looking at a person and they are talking and you realize that you really need to pay attention?  It is something about that person.  They seem to be expressing their highest potential, their story makes sense and it makes sense for you to hear it at just that time?  Well It was one of those times.  She showed me a jug of water with a rock in it and also a pendant around her neck; all mildly radioactive.  She gave me the number for Nighthawk Minerals.  I went home and googled radiation hormesis.  I also called up Jay, the founder of Nighthawk Minerals. He heard my laundry list of seemingly unrelated complaints and suggested they all might have one thing in common: candida.  I thought candida was just a yeast infection, but it turns out it is probably a whole lot more. It just may be that the ubiquitous and thus often-ignored little microorganism opportunistically adapts to a weakened immune system to colonize your insides. Your body’s response is what eventually forms the tumor in an effort to rein in the colony.   A Roman medical doctor by the name of Simoncini is all over the web with his assertion about candida albicans and cancer being one and the same.  I watched some video on You Tube.  I believe it is possible, and given my symptoms, it would tie up the mystery with a nice neat bow.  Candida, like cancer, feeds on sugar.  It can cause disturbances in blood sugar metabolism (check) and energy levels (check). Skin and nail fungus are often visible (check).  It is no coincidence that I have whittled my diet down to meat and veggies.  When you do succumb to the sugar/carb cravings it causes, candida produces gas and bloating as a by-product for you, the host, to deal with (check).  There are a number of other symptoms of candida listed like brain fog, anxiety, etc.  (check).  And hosting another organism (or in this case a colony of them) means extra clean-up.  Guess whose liver is stressed?!  Marilyn confirmed it was indeed inflamed through her thermal imaging equipment.  I have probably had the welcome mat out for this stuff for a long time.

I WISH I could write about radioactive rocks and cancer fungus in a succinct, intelligent way that didn’t make it sound crazy, but I am pretty new to this stuff, myself.  So let me be your guinea pig.  I promise I will let you know how it goes.  (You should do your own homework, too, though).  I ordered some products.  I spent some money.  But it was about the same amount as one of those hormone tests, so I feel like it was a worthwhile investment (on my credit card, cause let’s face it, its all theoretical money at this point….)  And the best part is that, as Marilyn put it, it is a natural rock, from the earth, and a world away from the kind of souped-up radiation she was working with in her former job, or even the chemotherapy many of us would prefer to avoid.

Finally, I think it is worth noting that both Jay and Marilyn displayed something I found very powerful: generosity of spirit.  They spent time with me.  It is so rare to feel heard and have the breathing room to ask questions.  I am grateful to be replacing fear with positive action.  I do not feel so powerless right now.

If you are a follower of Nourishing Traditions, you may already be used to the fact that simple solutions are often the best and that this is seen as a radical idea in today’s world.  If so, you have passed through the major hurdle to appreciating the simplicity of both of the ideas that I wrote about today.

  1. WOW, do you have a blog that shares all of your journey?

  2. Audrey,
That is amazing!!!! Here’s the link to the youtube video interview with Dr. Tullio Simoncini- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQuODiMlUsc

  3. Catherine, to answer your question, this Is the blog where I will be sharing my journey. I am not terribly tech savvy, so I haven’t linked it up to other sites at all. I have spent a week with the stones and I can tell you I can feel some shifts. I will post again soon.
